So if you have been checking in on the blog this week you might have noticed there are now ads on either side of the posts below the graphics. There is a reason for this. I'm really not trying to add annoyances to the blog I swear.
Blogger (which is the site I use to maintain, and used to start, the blog) has a program on it called AdSense. AdSense, if your blog is approved, places ads on your site in the places you decide to help you earn money from your blog. When people click on the ads you earn a few cents. Now before you flip out or get annoyed, hear me out!
What my goal actually is, is to test run this program on my blog to see if I can actually make a few dollars a month. If I succeed then I'm going to take the money out and donate it to my local LGBT Center! So you see? Adding these ads to the blog is NOT for my personal profit, but as a way to try to gather money to donate to the center that has really changed my life in the last month.
Because of the center, our city has an Asexual group that they let me start without charging me anything, I've been able to find a counselor I've been needing that I can actually afford, and, most importantly, I found a place I belong with people I fit in with. This past month I have gotten somewhat of a social life and made some TRUE friends. Something I've never experienced in all my 22 years.
So trying to earn a few dollars a month from getting clicks on these ads is my way of trying to give back. It is not for personal gain at all.
I hope you will find this idea of mine alright and not have it keep you from visiting this blog. I really love and appreciate you all for all your support and time spent reading the posts I put up. You have no idea how much of a purpose you all have given me.
